FOLIO 03 — TECHNOLOGY

Machineryof restraint.

Alpha is the smaller half of the engineering. The larger half is the apparatus of refusal — kill switches, budgets and caps enforced by the same machinery that routes the orders.

No. 02Clauses of containment

The clauses below are excerpted from the operating mandate. They are not guidance offered to the machines; they are properties of them — versioned, checked in, and enforced by the process that routes the orders.

Clause 3.1

Kill switches.

Every venue adapter answers to a supervisor that owns the authority to halt it. A halt is not an alert to be weighed; it is an action already taken. Resumption requires two officers and a written cause.

VENUE UNREACHABLE > 3S → FLATTEN ALL

Clause 3.2

Drawdown limits.

Each strategy carries a drawdown budget fixed at promotion. The budget is enforced by the execution layer, not by the model that spends it. A breach demotes the strategy to paper in the same second it occurs.

DRAWDOWN > BUDGET → DEMOTE TO PAPER

Clause 3.3

Exposure caps.

Gross and net exposure are capped per book, per venue and per instrument. An order that would breach a cap is not trimmed by discretion; it is refused at the gateway before it exists.

NET EXPOSURE > CAP → REJECT AT GATEWAY

No. 03The daily ledger

No session opens on trust. Before trading is authorised, the books are proved: every position mapped, every ledger reconciled, every circuit test-fired. The excerpt below is the shape of an ordinary morning.

Notes & methodology

  1. The execution topology is schematic. Adapter, custody and connectivity arrangements differ by venue and jurisdiction and are described in the memorandum. Digital-asset perpetuals are unavailable to certain investor classes.
  2. Containment thresholds shown are illustrative of the policy class. Actual limits are set per strategy at promotion, recorded in the risk mandate, and may be tightened without notice. They are never advisory.
  3. The reconciliation excerpt is illustrative and simulated. Timings, position counts and run numbers do not describe a specific production session.
  4. Operational figures — acknowledgement latency, heartbeat interval, reconciliation and drill cadence — are illustrative of the production configuration, vary by venue, session and network conditions, and are not a service-level guarantee.
  5. Trading FX and digital assets on margin involves substantial risk of loss. Capital is at risk. Nothing on this page constitutes an offer, solicitation or investment advice; access is restricted to qualified and professional investors in eligible jurisdictions.
